Sahlia and Josh, along with their family and friends, planned an amazing destination wedding celebration weekend! The day before the wedding kicked off with a relaxing day at Josh’s family cabin on Swan Lake. All their guests were invited to play in the water, eat good food, and enjoy each others company before the wedding festivities began the next day! And Sahlia’s Dad surprised the guests with a firework show at the end of the night!
Dana’s amazing weekend wedding celebration began with her mehndi party. Her home was filled with close friends and family. Wendy with Roving Horse Henna spent a few hours applying henna to Dana’s feet, arms, and hands. It was beautiful! The henna takes a couple days to reach it’s strongest color, and by Dana’s wedding, her henna was so rich and beautiful!
Jamii Moja‘s mission is “to enable African communities to improve their quality of living through greater access to water, micro-enterprise, education, healthcare and advocacy for women.” The organization recently raised funds at Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub, where the incredible Holly Jarvis, event and wedding coordinator of Hitched Weddings & Events, facilitated and organized the entire event! The night was such a success! Jamii Moja’s establishment has an amazing story, that you can read about, here. Gail McCormick, Kathleen Lewis and Lucille McAleese were also huge contributors to the evening!
Nathan did an amazing job at his Bar Mitzvah at Shaarie Torah! It was a wonderful night at the Crystal Ballroom, Tiffany Center, where the party got going for Nathan! Check out the dessert table! It was filled with all sorts of goodies!
The amazing and undistinguishable aroma of coffee roasting could be smelled all around the World Forestry Center during the Coffee Fair. Roasters from all over the globe to NW roasters shared unique roasting techniques to the public as they toured each station! Jake celebrated his Bar Mitzvah at Congregation Beth Israel in NW Portland! After the service, around 60 kids ran out of the Temple to jump in their assigned pedicabs! They were on their way to one of the the top floors of the Hilton to celebrate Jake’s Bar Mitzvah! Jake’s Mom did an amazing job with the decorating and having activities for both the adults and kids to celebrate into the night! The kids enjoyed an air brush artist, games, and a fun-filled dance floor that was hopin’ with both the adults and kids!

The Women’s Council of Realtors put together their annual fashion show to raise funds for their members to travel across the country for educational workshops. The fashion show was held at the Oswego Lake Country Club, chaired by Kerri Hartnett of Keller Williams Realty. The models were their very own WCR members and the beautiful clothing was by Dionnie Storino of Cabi. Nicolette Gonzales was the make up artist and At The Salon styled the model’s hair. It was a night filled with a wonderful group of real estate professionals and fabulous outfits! Guest appearances, Erik Weichelt and Jim Hamilton, came up from California to share their success stories and to be auctioned off for a day of training and a limo ride! And the WCR Board auctioned themselves to make a dinner party for six, which I’m sure will be blast for the winning party!

The Autism Society has been celebrating National Autism Awareness month since the 1970′s. In Portland, A Hope for Autism, founded by Gayle Woodruff and Robbin Sobotka-Soles, held a black tie event at The Benson, to raise awareness and funds for autism. The fundraiser was a success with many thanks to Jordan Blakely, owner of United Charity Development, and Holly Jarvis with Hitched Weddings & Events. The night was filled with a lively fashion show with women’s fashion from Meringue Boutique and men’s fashion from Collier, while DJ Yaz mixed the beats for the runway! Concert rock violinist, Aaron Meyer, gave a wonderful performance before the fashion show and the night ended with a special show from Deen Castronovo and Jonathan Cain from Journey! It was a night filled with great energy and beauty!
Friendly competition. Serious fun. That’s what NW Golf Guys are all about! I went to document one of their golf tournaments at Pumpkin Ridge and had the chance to see what a lively group of guys’ they are!
